it depends how experienced you are
i’d go with the e-flite if your new to the hobby
dual rotor is always more stable and easy to fly
plus e-flite has an amazing reputation with making good products

anyone knows if the e-flite mcx is better than the walkera hm 4#3 micro?? dont know which one to get?

I don’t know anything about rc helicopters. but I bought this tonight. And I was amazed. i’ll try and put a video up after I edit it.
I’m a 100% rookie, it took me a couple battery charges to figure it out but even I can rock this thing around the living room now. Pretty easy to land as well. Worst danger so far is that my dog wants to kill it.

im not sayin they are bad helecopters im just voicing my opinion. trust me if I could get an e flite I would

So why are you on an E-flite thread? To bitch that their stuff is expensive? That sounds like an exceptionally small-minded thing to do. If you don’t like their stuff fine, go for someone else’s product, don’t tear down other people’s satisfaction with the product they chose.

That’s the kind of stuff only an exceptionally arrogant and small-hearted person does.

PS. I’ve flown both the ones you mention and they don’t fly as well as the mCX

well other companys can make a 4 channle for 80 bucks and it also works great (e sky)

  9. Comment by ssgtakeo

What’s overpriced? You get a 4 function heli for $100.

  10. Comment by nibbler125

true and you can always count on exceed to make a cheap knockoff that will also drive down the price

  11. Comment by manta965

just wait a month or 2 thigs usualy get cheaper but it might not considering it is not too new

  12. Comment by nibbler125

i would get one but e flite is waay over priced

Yes it does fly on a lipo battery and yes it has foward backward up down and even side to side movement. It also has cyclones which means that the rotors tilt sideways or up down. Amazing device.

  14. Comment by ericrc17

Yes they do run on a lipo battery.

  15. Comment by ctotoye2

do they run on lipo batt.?

  16. Comment by ctotoye2

I can see the poing as far as the size goes comparing it to the CX/CX2 – however I love my CX2 and still thinking of picking up the MCX BNP.

    No forward flight then?

  20. Comment by Thrashaero

yes, much more than the havoc. it has an actual swashplate/servos. the havoc relies on a precession of forces by turning to the right in order to move it forward (which it can do, given the right amount of skill/adjustment…but still slow regardless). the mcx is probably better than the cx2 in my opinion given the price.

  21. Comment by Thrashaero

you couldn’t be more wrong. havoc helis require steering action to move forward, and they go pretty slow. they also cannot move from side to side or go backwards much. the mcx is 10x more easy to control and fun than the havocs are. havocs are still fun little guys for a great price. but these are much better. i personally think they’re easier to fly than the regular sized CX/CX2. they’re even a joke compared to the mcx given their performance/price.

I seriously think that airhogs havoc helis are as good as that and their only 30$.

Hardly flying it around, more position hovering.
Why does it fly around like?

    Pretty cute heli. Piro nice.
I would have chashed the dog around the store with it!!!!

I have had both, the havoc is 2 channel just up down (channel 1)pivot left and right(channel 2). you can’t make a scheduled or planned landing with the havoc. I’ve landed my blade, with 4 channel control, left, right, forward, backward, pivot left and right, up and down on top of boxes only as wide as the skids, thats real controllability. I sold my blade when i got bored with it because i like flying outdoors and in Maryland its never not windy but i’m thinkin of getting one again:)

As you can see by the clip it is flying around our store. True its flown by one of our staff, but we do sell many coaxial helicopters to beginners who have no problem. Incidentally I have had never heard of the Havoc so can’t comment
